From 5th to 8th November 2015, on occasion of The Others Art Fair, 1 Koffer Kunst will present for the first time in Italy the video Tokyo Kids (2012/2013) by Ulrike Möschel, that will be projected in the section The OtherScreen.

In the short video (1:22 min.) two kids are playing fighting in a street of Tokyo. Like little samurai, protected by cardboard boxes as shells, they strike and push each other without mercy until one of them falls down. Only at that point they both come out from their boxes and regain the typical sweetness and fragility of kids. The film, in all its simplicity, combines disarming badness and tenderness. The artist does not reveal whether the two little protagonists are performing or have been taken by chance by her video-camera.

Ulrike Möschel, born in Münster (Germany) in 1972, lives and works in Düsseldorf. Further info can be found on her website.
